Kihamba farming
Simon from storyworld Kihamba Life
Meet Simon, who practices Kihamba farming, using a sustainable method called permaculture that supports the natural habitat. Kihamba farms are the plots of land passed down from generation to generation of the Chaga people of Mount Kilimanjaro. Preserving this land is a way of sustaining the environment, the Chaga people and their culture.
"In Kihamba farming you don't just benefit for yourself. You also think of how the ecosystem will support your living."
